Colombia workshop 2018

The first Colombia workshop brought together the two country partners – Universidad Nacional and Universidad de Los Andes, with Jonathan Goodhand (SOAS), David Mansfield (LSE), Richard Brittan (ALCIS) and Emma Saville (PositiveNegatives).
Discussions focused on an assessment of the Colombian research agenda around drugs, led by Francisco Gutiérrez Sanin from Universidad Nacional and how this fit into the broader GCRF research framework. Ana Arjona from Universidad de Los Andes led the discussion around the policy context and how the GCRF research can have an impact on key stakeholders.
Other focus areas included building capacity to conduct the research utilising Geo-spacial imagery (facilitated by ALCIS) and visualising research data through art and multi-media outputs (facilitated by PositiveNegatives).
