Roundtable event in Kabul

On 5 November 2019, the Drugs & (dis)order Afghanistan country team held a roundtable discussion with members of the Afghan government and other stakeholders from the research and policy community in Kabul.

The event included an overview of the project’s goals and preliminary findings to date, as well as two policy briefings: one on the ongoing stakeholder analysis of drugs issues currently being developed by project-partner AREU, and another on the relationship between the illicit drug economy and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16 on Peace and Sustainable Justice.
